House Converts with Nature

Today there are so many buildings such as restaurants, art galleries, shops, to wine cellars using glass materials. It may be fine if it is applied in such places, however, if the glass material is applied to a dwelling, it will certainly be interesting and challenging.

This is because the house becomes a private place. Occupants often do not want to show any intimate behavior when hanging out with family. Because, the house bermaterial glass make life occupants are in the window. But with energy-saving thinking, maintaining health, and integrating with nature, the house with glass material can be a challenging choice.

In developed countries, glass homes have been widely applied. Forests, mountains, and seafront become the choice of residents to create a home with the concept. Not without cause, the places have their own privileges when the house has been built, that is, a feeling of peace and comfort because it blends with nature.

But, really the location to build a glass-colored house not only must be in a quiet nature. Designer and builder Kim Gordon made the house with it's concept on a busy street in the Abbot Kinney block, United States.

"I want to create a home that can create a unified relationship between occupants and the environment," Gordon said quoted by ELLEDECOR.

Initially, the size of the land that is not too large makes Gordon difficulty making a terrace or large living room outside the room. After paying attention to the location and measuring the total area of land, Gordon got a solution for the location of the glass house (greenhouse).

He designed a lot of space that could be converted into another room by installing lots of glass walls. The design is amazing because it provides an open space for air and sunlight. The flexible dwelling is believed Gordon not only provide healthy air circulation, but also able to blend with nature through green plants placed both inside and outside the house.

For example in the living room, Kim designed an open glass wall so that the front garden area into an intimate landscape. While the 14-foot-high glass wall in the dining room is able to produce an atmosphere like on the terrace that combines the atmosphere inside and outside the house.

As reported by DEZEEN, the design was intended to provide a solution of a house that feels hot when it is made of concrete with a box shape, identical to city life. While the structure of the building provides a 360 degree view of the forest.

An initially reported investor agreed when the project was first designed in 2013. But resigned because it felt the cylinder house project would never be completed. Luckily, manufacturers of glass and solar panels are interested so that the construction can be completed.

"It's not so difficult to build it, the problem is finding an investor," Almassov said.

He said, at the time of construction of the house, he has found two investors. One of these investors has a glass factory with transparent solar panels. His interest in the project led them to negotiate to build it.

The project is translated as a tubular building located in the forest with the top floor being the canopy of the tree, although the project is not tied to a specific location.

"The main objective of this project is to offer alternatives to the hustle and bustle of city life.We want to combine the capabilities of modern industrial design and wealth and natural beauty," the architect said.

He made sure the most important of the design of this house is not harm the environment. In a promotional tone, he says this design becomes an opportunity to escape from a hot concrete box and feel the unity that comes with nature.

White staircase made spiral, wrap around tree trunks. "Up the stairs (in) the house can be said as a stage of spiritual purification, enlightenment, and harmonization with the environment," said Almassov.
